NEW PROTOCOLS FOR IN-PERSON WORSHIP! October 1, 2020
The vestry has approved new protocols for in-person worship at Christ Church. Beginning this week, the following guidelines will be in place. Changes from previous guidelines are highlighted.
Up to 40 congregants in total may participate in the service.
Entry is only through the side door on Franklin Street, and exit is through the front doors.
Attendees are checked for symptoms upon entry in St. Joseph's Hall, and their names are recorded. Worshipers should have this questionnaire completed before they come.
Masks and social distancing are required at all times when you are on church property and in the building.
Gathering before or after the service is permitted, but social distancing must be maintained, and masks must be worn.
Singing is not allowed.
The sanctuary is thoroughly cleaned before the service.
Communion will be of the Body of Christ only, and will be received standing at the entry to the chancel.
To sign up for in-person worship services, please use the following link to SignUp. The Access Code is CCM123. Parties greater than 5 can register with additional email addresses. For those who would like help registering for a service, please contact Rita by phone or email. If slots are still available at the end of the week, an announcement will be included in the weekly eblast.
Large group gatherings are still among the most risky activities during the pandemic. If you are in a vulnerable group or feel at all uncomfortable about being in large groups, please do not feel pressured to come to mass. The most prudent thing to do is wait. Live-streaming of the service will continue. Opportunities for participation in the service from home, through pre-recorded readings, prayers, and music, are available. Please contact Bob Miller if you would like to be included as a "virtual" reader.
Social Distancing does not mean isolation. Please call one another, pray for one another, and if you are able, offer to help others. Jim Ross is coordinating pastoral care and can be reached by email (email@example.com).
Current church announcements can be found on service bulletins or by clicking here.
