WORSHIP SERVICES AT CHRIST CHURCH

WILL CONTINUE TO BE VIRTUAL UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Due to the surge of the pandemic after the holidays, and the new COVID variant detected in our region, the Diocese has asked that churches continue to have only virtual services at least until the end of January. We will return to Phase II protocols when it is safe to do so.

Weekday Morning Prayer - The Morning Office is live-streamed on Zoom Tuesday and Thursday at 8:30am. Join with the link, or download the invitation. A video of the service is posted on Facebook later in the morning.

 

Wednesday Healing Eucharist - 12:15pm now only online via Zoom. Click here to join or download the invitation.

COLLECT FOR THE THIRD SUNDAY AFTER THE EPIPHANY

Give us grace, O Lord, to answer readily the call of our Savior Jesus Christ and proclaim to all people the Good News of his salvation, that we and the whole world may perceive the glory of his marvelous works; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

 

PRAYER FOR PEACE AND JUSTICE

in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

Grant us, O God,

A vision of your world as your love would have it:

A world where the weak are protected,

and none go hungry or poor.

A world where the riches of creation are honored and shared

so everyone might enjoy them.

A world where different races, cultures and creeds

live in peace and harmony, with equal regard.

A world where peace is built with justice

and justice is guided by love

Give us the inspiration and courage to go forth with willing hearts, minds, and bodies to build such a world, through Christ Jesus.

And may the God of hope fill us with every comfort and joy in believing. May the peace of Christ abound in our hearts and minds. and may the Holy Spirit gift and guide us now and forever. Amen.
