Outreach

The Outreach Committee has several goals:

1. To create new opportunities for members of Christ Church to participate in outreach activities.
2. To support the many ongoing outreach projects of various Christ Church organizations.
3. To offer support to local, regional and international missionary-outreach efforts.

Some of the outreach opportunities this year will include:

• The Aid for Friends cooking group, which meets monthly in the evening to cook about 100 meals at a time for elderly shut-ins.
• Habitat for Humanity work day. After a very successful day in the spring we plan on making this a two or three times a year event. Look for sign up sheets this fall.
• Women’s Shelter. For several years the Mom’s group here at Church as been offering support to a local shelter for abused women and children. This fall we hope to get many of you involved as we take on the challenge of rehabbing and maintaining several rooms at the shelter.
• As the holidays grow nearer, the outreach opportunities will grow. Look for announcements regarding food baskets, mitten tree and youth group outreach events.

The Outreach Committee meets once a month. We are always looking for a few more members. We are also eager to hear of any new outreach ideas.
