There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.
There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are
different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in
all men.
1 Cor. 12:4-6 NIV
Outreach/Missions ministries at Christ Church support a
wide range of opportunities to care for the hungry and the poor of
our community. In addition, we support the spread of the Gospel
through mission opportunities, both local and internationally. The
focus is to feed those who are both physically and spiritually
hungry.
Pastoral Care ministries reach out to our own members and
beyond in special times of need. Lay Eucharistic visitors take
communion to those unable to attend worship. Visits, cards and meals
are provided by a large number of volunteers to those who are
bereaved, lonely or those experiencing an illness. The focus is to
love one another as Christ has loved us.
Small Group Ministries A variety of small group provide
opportunities for building community and nurturing ones faith and
prayer life. They include the Men’s Group, the Young Mother’s Group,
Companions in Christ, Bereavement Groups, etc.
Hospitality Ministries - Greeters provide a warm and hearty
welcome to persons new to the Christ Church community. These
ministers coordinate several newcomer receptions each year in order
to introduce new persons to the members of Christ Church. Ushers
assist in welcoming and seating guests and members. Junior Ushers
work side by side with adult ushers. Other ministers deliver bread
to first time visitors.
